One gift. Their whole story.

Wren talks with them for a year. Then we make the books, the website and the reenactments. One price covers all of it.

Both start the same way: a text from Wren and one good question. The difference is what you hold at the end.

Whichever you choose

What every plan includes

  • 01

    Nothing to download

Wren works over text, WhatsApp or a plain phone call. A landline is fine.

  • 02

    One question a week

For up to a year, at their pace. Wren follows up the way a good interviewer would.

  • 03

    Every photo restored

They snap a picture of the old print, or mail it in. We fix the fading, creases and tears.

  • 04

    A private life website

Their chapters, a timeline and their photos, shared only with the family you invite.

  • 05

    Reenactment portraits

Moments nobody photographed, recreated from their stories. Always labelled as recreations.

  • 06

    A person checks every book

Someone on our team reads each book before it prints.

Three generations around a holiday table passing a memoir hand to hand

Extra copies

$59 for each extra book.

Same hardcover, same full-colour pages. For the sibling across the country, or a grandchild who isn’t old enough to read it yet.

Giving it

Sample card

For Mom,

This year, you’re writing a book.

Starting on your birthday, someone called Wren will text you one question a week. Wren is an AI, and a very good listener. Answer however you like. Type it, say it, or send a photo.

At the end, your stories become a book. We’ve been meaning to ask you for years.

Love, Anne

  1. i.

    Pick the start date

Choose when Wren sends the first question. Their birthday, Mother’s Day, or the quiet week after the holidays when everyone has gone home.

  2. ii.

    Give them something to open

You get a printable card that explains what’s coming, so it isn’t just an email. Print it, sign it, tuck it in with the cake.

  3. iii.

    Stay close to it

Read the stories as they come in, and send Wren the questions you never got round to asking.

Before you decide

A few honest answers

All questions
How long does it take?

Conversations run for up to a year, at their pace. You can ask us to make the book whenever you like, at three months or at twelve, and add a second volume later if there’s more to tell.

My dad doesn’t use apps. Will this work for him?

Yes. There is nothing to download. Wren works over ordinary text messages, WhatsApp or a regular phone call, including a landline. If he can answer the phone, he can tell his story.

Can the rest of the family take part?

Yes. Siblings and grandchildren can follow along, read new stories as they come in and suggest questions for Wren to ask.

Who owns the stories?

Your family does. You can download every story, photo and recording, or delete it all, at any time.

Still deciding?

Heirloom gets you two books, the website and six portraits. Pick Legacy if more of the family will want a copy, or if you’d like to hear their voice again.
